With its debut already etched as a landmark moment in India’s design history, Design Mumbai is set to return with renewed vigour at Mumbai’s Jio World Garden from 26-29 November 2025. The heart of the city will once again pulse with creativity when the brightest homegrown and international design practices and brands come together to exchange innovative ideas, celebrate emerging trends, and catalyse delightful conversations with the design community. For attendees, the four-day showcase (26 November 2025 – Invitation-Only VIP Preview Evening) promises immersion into the future of design, a chance to witness innovation firsthand, and meet their favourite design icons. We recommend wearing sneakers and a smart watch because this design walk will have you racking up plenty of steps without even knowing.

Design Mumbai has swiftly carved out its identity as India’s only international B2B contemporary design show that bridges the gap between Indian and global design communities, attracting over 9000+ visitors last year. Today, it has become the gateway for international brands looking to enter the Indian market, while providing a powerful platform for Indian brands to gain international recognition. It is through this platform that Indian designers and architects not only help to establish the nation’s design and cultural panorama, they in fact honour the timeless legacy of ‘Made in India’.
With an expanded exhibitor roster, the 2025 edition will be welcoming many newcomers and industry veterans, who will unveil their new launches and reflect on the changing dynamics of the design world. Together, they will showcase an array of design solutions in the form of artisanal objects, luxurious furniture concepts, statement lighting, inspiring living rooms, impressive office designs and a lot more. Stay curious because sometimes the smallest booths hide the biggest discoveries.

In The Company Of Greats
Steering the event is a team of design specialists: Ian Rudge, Piyush Suri and Michael Dynan, who collectively carry more than 60 years of design and production knowledge. For the show’s second year, the co-founders are bringing back the popular ‘Design Mumbai Exchange’, a thought-provoking talk series where high-profile voices from the global design stage ignite conversations that challenge, inspire, and reimagine the future of design. Some key speakers include several delegates from the Australian Institute of Architects such as the body’s president, Adam Haddow, and Luke Hayward, founder of Japan and Australia-based Atelier Luke. Other confirmed speakers include Lucas Muñoz, an award-winning Spanish designer, Manijeh Verghese, CEO of Open City, Anna Liu and Mike Tonkin of Tonkin Liu, Chris Lefteri, UK Materials Expert, and Priya Paul, Chairperson, Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels. Building on last year’s momentum, the event offers networking and business opportunities for professionals. Keep your business cards handy, because in a setting like this, serendipitous chats over coffee or at the booths often turn into lasting collaborations. More importantly, the fair becomes a rare opportunity to encounter new and emerging brands abounding with fresh ideas.

Where To Begin Your Design Walk
Stepping into the expansive fair can feel overwhelming at first, as you can expect a heady mix of influential designers, architects and brands. But mapping your route helps to navigate the buzz with ease and ensures you don’t miss the must-visit booths, such as Poltrona Frau, Baccarat, Racconti, String, and Hastens. If your taste leans towards the unconventional, make sure to stop by at Shailesh Rajput Studio. Look out for WANNAS and SABBi’s sculptural pieces, Infiniti’s sleek furniture concepts, and Hearty Muse Atelier’s daring collection of rugs, all exemplifying masterful craftsmanship. Lux Temporis presents bold, experimental lighting installations that challenge conventional design norms, and Sarvatva showcases its artisanal furniture creations that are symbols of ancient Indian philosophy. Minimalist aesthetics meet luxurious detailing at Sweden-based Blå Station, and the kids furniture brand Lila delights with its eclectic range of decor and lifestyle pieces. Other key exhibitors include FAZO Project, Vibrant Technik, Chacko, Lagom, Muse Create, Cocre8, Emanate, Küche7, and LOCO design. They are absolute showstoppers that you won’t forget.

Make sure to take your pitstops at the exclusive hospitality destinations across the show. Enjoy a bite to eat at the Soho House Mumbai bistro, bringing the vibe of Mumbai’s favourite members’ club to Jio World Garden, and swing by Lucas Muñoz Muñoz’s café for THE Park Hotels, constructed using salvaged materials from its hotel room renovations. Don’t miss it if you love designers that tackle environmental issues in chic and innovative ways, or if you love a good coffee.

Synergies That Spark New Possibilities
Some visionary brands unite through collaborative installations to create immersive, multi-layered experiences. Japan’s Set Up Co. for instance, brings a fresh minimalist perspective alongside Kakuhan and Reset, each contributing through their own material innovations. Similarly, ABACA India will present Vondom, whose audacious outdoor furniture combines uncompromising comfort and contemporary elegance. This unison also marks the debut of India’s first fully weatherproof upholstered outdoor sofa: The Avila Sofa!
There will be several other firsthand experiences that one can witness, so slow down to truly grasp what you see. Excited? The excitement isn’t yours alone. The energy surrounding the fair is palpable among the returning exhibitors, too. “We are thrilled to return for the second edition of Design Mumbai in 2025 and continue sharing our passion for creating spaces that inspire,” says Asmeet Singh Bakshi, Business Development Manager at Cocre8, a design and build firm.
