Good Earth |
Following the stupendous success of its annual design collection Farah Baksh, India’s premier design company Goodearth puts together vivid memories of Kashmir in their very first design journal. To celebrate the launch of the Farah Baksh journal, a cocktail party and dinner was hosted by Beenu Bawa- Director, Goodearth in association with the India Design Forum. Together with an eclectic photo exhibition by Sunhil Sippy.
Good Earth’s design collection Farah Baksh has been inspired by the Kashmiri Heritage and its sophisticated design sensibilities. The collection is an eclectic mix of cushion covers, dinnerware, centerpieces, bed linen and apparel. Goodearth’s design team intensively researched Kashmiri culture and have been awe struck by the beauty of the valley; hence as an extension to the design collection, they put together vivid memories and design inspirations into a fabulous journal.
I love the use of the Enfield when you enter the store. We saw Puneet Jasuja use a bike for a store window. Theres something about a motorbike which resonates which India.
The table setting sets as an eclectic mix of jewelry with gold, silver and white as the base. The filigree cake platter if to be used otherwise can be decorated with fresh flowers and tea lights. Lotus or white orchids would be perfect.

Kitsch Chairs |
The lighting piece, feels like it is out of control, growing out of the base. Very well executed piece.
The quirky chairs would be a perfect statement maker. Perfect for an ante room, with the rest of the space simple in muted tones. Let the chair get all the attention.

Gold Foil Jewelry |
Seeing the jewelry foiled at the end, it got me thinking of how it would look at the end of serving cutlery. Probable wooden cutlery with foiled ends. Silver foil too, earthy chic. What do you think? Yes / no / maybe?
